Mitti Artisan focuses on empowering poor, rural women in Bangladesh, Pakistan and India by providing them with productive employment opportunities and sustainable connections to the global market. We ensure the artisans are getting a fair trade living wage that pays for basic needs, including food, shelter, education, and health care for their families, and is usually 3-4 times the wages of laborers or factory workers not covered by fair trade standards.
